Bear in mind I'm not asking how you plan to play the class, just what's the first thing that comes to mind when you think about it.

For me, Wardens sound very paladin-like.

Well, I guess that when most people hear the word Templar, they think plate-wearing preacher of light and glory. Initially I'd say warden has a more "neutral" feel to it, and would probably be a better name for the class than templar. Warden gives about equal thought of heavy armour holy warrior, as it does robed scholar/priest, atleast in my ears.

The Warden class is gone. They aren't doing it anymore if that's what you are talking about.
