So we know that the ring of Namira gives you the ability to pretty much be a cannibal.


And we know that vampires feed off blood, right?


Well last time I checked if you're a cannibal and eating raw bodies you're going to ingest some blood.


So why doesn't feeding on dead people with the ring of Namira act the same as feeding as a vampire?

Separate gameplay mechanics. Also, some people may have wanted to feed for the small stamina/health boost, and not want to revert to Stage One.

Also, Namira detests vampires, so I doubt she'd confer her "blessing" onto them.

I suppose the later reason would make sense, at least lore wise.
