Not bad, but the problem is you will be REALLY over powered. This was pretty much my first character, before I knew what skills where overpowered.

Sneak - bow attacks do lots of damage on their own, and if you go with daggers - 15x more damage is crazy. 30x with the DB gloves is just stupidly high.

Illusion: Useful, not too OP, but how is it Robin Hood? I can't seem to remember him casting Frenzy in the middle of the stories :P

Smithing - REALLY OP. Even if you don't try to, your stuff is so overpowered at level 100 - even just the hide stuff is really good.

I would watch out for these things.

Was thinking same about Illusion, apart from that sounds interesting :)

Well he's based on the idea of " What if Robin Hood lived in the TES world", rather than a carbon copy. This will be a heavily played RP so Illusion will be used for when I'm taking on multiple Bandits, casting a Fury spell before using my bow to take them out. I may get rid of Smithing but the only reason for it was so he had a job before he started the Civil War quest.

He'll stay away from most the major cites as after the Civil War quest he'll be come an outlaw and have bounties for stealing from the rich and horses from the stables as his get away ride. The Idea of the Thieves guild was so he had a group of men (his band of merry men ). I may even blog his story if it becomes interesting enough.

Nah... Should be Archery > Alchemy > One Handed (Blades) > Light Armour. There are good mods for Ranger style clothes on Workshop or Nexus.

On console that's why I'm using the Belted Tunic, it looks good but it's classed as clothing so it wouldn't increase my Light Armour.

As I said above it's an RP thing.

I'd add speech to that list. It only makes sense since it's Robin Hood who was an eloquent speaker.

Get Lockpicking for the Golden Touch and Treasure Hunter perks. I think it applies to people, not just containers.

I think the real problem will be finding "good deeds" to do, if that's how you see Robin Hood. Give a begger 100,000 coins, and they're still a beggar.

They only problem with speech is you have to sell things to level it. Which is fine if I'm dungeon diving and collecting a lot of items, a bit harder when I'm not.

Pickpocketing?

I was thinking this, maybe as a supporting skill as it will come in handy when I join the TG.

As I said I's only basing the character on him, I can give gold coins to beggars yes, but I'm also only going to steal from the rich and if I work on pickpockting I can reverse pickpocket food and better clothes.

I have a Robin Hood-esque build atm. A Wood Elf archer, duel-weilder. He is Robin hood-esque in that he takes from the rich and gives to the poor, however, unlike Robin Hood he'd slit anyones throat to do so. He's not "Evil" or mad crazy, he just gets the job done by any means.

I, too, am sticking to a set combo of weapons and armours I feel look the best and what my character would ware, and definantly not what is most practical or offering the most amount of protection/damage. Same for all my characters.

Didn't want to start a new thread for this but when crossing the border from Cyrodiil into Skyrim what would be the first town or City you'd come to? Falkreath?

Well, since Robin Hood fights for justice throughout the land, I don't see why you'd join the Thieves' Guild.

Also, you should be a Khajiit. But make yourself look more like a fox. Because that's way cooler than the Russell Crowe version of Robin Hood.

I appreciate that you have a stock answer for everything, but changing pretty much the only defining character trait of Robin Hood takes it out of the realm of "What if he lived in the TES world?" and into the realm of "What if he wasn't Robin Hood, but just some guy who stole stuff?"

Well the idea of joining the TG is so I have access to a fence. There is only so much I can do as I'm on console, like mentioned earlier in the thread I can give a beggar 100,000 gold and he'll still be a beggar. The idea of my Robin Hood style build is to make him as close as possible but make him different. In the TES world I can use magic and alchemy. My use of alchemy will mainly be for healing and poison and I decided to add Illusion for the purpose of just enhancing my playing experience. The idea of being a woodsman, attacking bandits and robbing from the rich is as close as I can get to being "Robin Hood" and I will never steal from the common man.

So my answer of he's based on the idea of " What if Robin Hood lived in the TES world", rather than a carbon copy, gives me room to play around with the character because I can't be him exactly and I don't want him to be.

I get that, but the Thieves' Guild kind of destroys the only thing that makes Robin Hood different from a thief. Not only do you spend a good chunk of time beating up on poor people, you work (in part) for one of the richest, most corrupt families in Skyrim.

I understand that you can't play Robin Hood exactly like the character, but if you remove the "rob from the rich, give to the poor" part of the character, then he isn't Robin Hood on any level.

But I'm not removing it, I'm still robbing from the rich but I'm going about it in a slightly different way. I'm RP-ing heavily so the idea of a soldier coming back from war then slips into the dark world of the Thieves Guild, then he looks for redemption the only way he knows how, by robbing from the people he was working for and giving back to the poor. It's just his origin story is different to the of the "real" Robin Hood.
