Roleplay or just play to see everything?

My only char is a pure mage and I completed the main quests of the college. So, from the point of view of my char makes no sense join now the thieves guild or even the dark brotherhood. (I dont want to spoil why)

Of course I can just say what a hell and go with my mage on quests to steal jewellery. But Im inclined to go back to the main quests, finish the game, and later build a rogue.

How are you guys playing? Just one char and he is everything? Or are you planning to build two or three chars to enjoy the game fully?

Sry the broken english.

I like to try and roleplay the game, as I think it creates more re-play value. Up to now I have been made a 'sherrif' and joined one group, both were a bit by accident but it has given me a way to focus my character more as I have gone up the first 10 levels.

Normally I would only ever play one character, because I can't bear to start again after 100 hours or whatever, but with Skyrim I may try a 2nd character to play a different style. I'm sure I will be running around the game for months still finding new stuff :)
