Backstory: (subject to change with release of more ESO information) Brii Northwind (called so because of her once saying to her father "Give me the cold of the northern wind on my face and health of the earth between my toes and I'll be forever happy". grew up on a farm in Skyrim, with her 2 older brother's and father, her mother died long ago. Brii, and her brothers Zii and Krii, have a great relationship, and all work together to keep the farm in shape, Brii looks up to her father, Yngvid Land-Strider who is an example of strength, honour and family. Her father was once a traveler, he claimed to have seen the ancient lands of Atmora, and even Akavir, a land he is extremely fond of, and researches with almost every moment of his free time. During the time of the second Akaviri invasion, he joined the Ebonheart pact, and fought for his hero, Jorunn the Skald-king, who had a warm heart and a iron will. Yngvid was said to have met the Akavir personally, and how they kept him as a prisoner of war, but how he made a daring escape, he would tell the children stories of other places he has seen, he taught Brii and the others of how to open their hearts to other races, just as the Ebonheart did, and the times he met the legendary Jorunn. He also claims to know a few words in Dragon, although as they grew up, his children dismiss all this as wild fantasy. He claims their names to be, in Dragon, 'Kill' (Krii), 'Spirit' (Zii) and 'Beauty' (Brii).
Brii had long flowing golden blonde hair, fair pale skin and a defining but delicate figure. She was brought up to be kind hearted, full of humour and was respectful of those who respected her. She loved her brothers more than anyone, and was never apart from them. Together the siblings would do many things together, including hunting and farming, and teach each other new skills, Zii knows a fair bit about smithing, Krii could handle almost any tool or weapon you throw at him, and Brii has a way with words and with merchants, that would make Clavicus Vile jealous. Brii has always been interested in the world, but knows her place is with her family.
When the Alliance war began, Krii, the eldest, was called to war when the battle for the throne grew too desperate, and Yngvid was forced to help out more with farm chores, bringing him closer to his two remaining siblings. However, during a thunderstorm, Zii claimed to have seen lights in the distance, who may need shelter, Yngvid insisted he go to find them. After a couple of hours the two became worried, and set out to find their father, and they did, gasping for life at the end of a Mer blade, but elves where no where to be seen. Sitting by his side, Brii broke into tears, Yngvid passed on a message to the both of them "Don't cry for me Brii, Kyne has a plan for everyone, but life will throw you it's own surprises'...." As he said that, hepassed on a key to Zii and told them to say goodbye to Krii for him, and with a final whisper "Sovnagarde welcomes me" he passed on. After a few days, the two realised the key opened their fathers private chests, and inside was a library of books and diaries, which explained that Yngvild did indeed do a lot of things he had claimed to, and more, but not everything, he never saw Atmora, or Akavir, but he did meet the Akaviri race, and the diaries told of how one came to be his lover. The Akaviri woman was part of the group who ambushed Yngvid, and kept him (for fear of him being a spy), however, one, understood Yngvid's innocence, and helped Yngvid escape captivity, and realising she could never go back, she settled with Yngvid, together they built the farm, and she taught him the ways of Akaviri combat. However she passed away very soon, and died peacefully in the night, under the watchful eyes of Yngvid, when she grew sick. A year later he then met a young Nord maiden, a traveling merchant, and the two fell for each other, and within the year had children of their own, but Yngvid never forgot his late Akaviri lover and the legacy he now believed he withheld. Along with the books were sure enough, scrolls of Akaviri fighting styles and techniques, of a warrior called the 'Dragonknight'. Brii and Zii, with the fire and spark of young travelers, just like their father before them, decided that they would learn these fighting styles and their legacy, leave the farm behind, join the Ebonheart pact and travel across Tamriel in their fathers footsteps. During the journey, the two encountered many new sights and people, things that broadened their excitement for adventure. During recruitment, the two were unfortunately separated, Brii being far too young for any front line roles, was initially denied a military rank into the Ebonheart army, but was given duty in Bleakrock Isle, to help the locals in any way she could. Infuriated Brii went along anyway, however her time in Bleakrock was much more eventful than she expected...
