Rolling bones everywhere I go!

Post » Fri May 25, 2012 9:10 am

Hi all. So recently on my latest character I have run into a strange issue where anywhere I fast travel, or even anywhere I zone in to, there is always a disembodied skeletal hand and often several ribs or a femur and other structures rolling around at my feet.

This is partly annoying because it makes the "clinkety-clink" sound, alerting potential nearby hostiles. The physics also seems broken on them as they continue to roll around even if they hit something. They roll around it like they're being pulled into a vortex or something.

Anyway, if anyone else has seen this, perhaps there will be an "unofficial" patch for it. Otherwise I guess I'll have to look into it some more.

I've noticed this as well. Sometimes there are even bones suspended in the air.

Never seen that behavior, but I hesitate to suggest that there's nothing I can do to serve you, o glorious Bonewalker. :flamed:

Weird. I wonder if there's a console command out there that can clean that up, or if you can use a command to select and delete those particular objects from the game permanently?

LOL yea, I had this heaps. Bones would just fall from the sky, or appear wherever I went and began rolling around and making that annoying sound : P No idea how to fix it sorry.

One of my characters had a whole dragon skeleton following him around for awhile. For a whole in-game month, whenever I fast traveled, a dragon skeleton would fall from the sky right on top of me. Oddly, it didn't make any noise, but it did flap around in the breeze.

You could try using the disable command. It works for me to remove the horrendous dragon skeletons; it might work for other corpses too.

Are you serious? Lol...well, I suppose not funny after the first couple days.

Damn video games, always some issue! Screw it, I'm going back to space invaders, unless that game was bugged don't remember.

I've had this happen a lot; also the disembodied heads of my fallen enemies occasionally as well. I'll just be running somewhere and hear bones or see a head rolling along. Very odd.

I had a dead horse randomly appear in College of Winterhold courtyard when I walked out the door once. I have no idea how it got there, but it won't go away. I'm sort of using it as a guinea pig to see how long it takes for the game to clean up corpses.
