You have been warned.
I'm aware that in part of the Single Player campaign you go to Roosevelt Island. I'm curious if there will be a multiplayer map on Roosevelt Island, and if the topography/design of the map will actually be at least somewhat accurate to the island.
I ask because, well, I live there, and I'm getting sick and tired of games set in NYC that don't actually look like they're in NYC. From what I've seen, the rest of the game doesn't have a problem with this, but you play on such a small part of the southern tip of the island (there's also no lighthouse here like in the game..... :/ ).
Oh, and the power plant? I live right across from it. And that's not what the area looks like. At all. Even if bombed out and totally destroyed. The part where you first see it, the vantage point you're viewing it from is practically my living room (though mad props on making the game's version tidier than my ACTUAL living room LOL!). There isn't nearly that much green on the island. Loads of apartment complexes, mom-and-pop stores, etc. It's like the Fischer-Price playset version of Manhattan; two streets, kind of the same shape, one subway stop and absolutely no corporate competition (the hardware store is simply called "Hardware Store". I kid you not ).
I'd love to have a map that actually looks like the island (which, based on my MP demo experiences, would actually make for a perfect MP map). Though in part that's just me being selfish because I'd love to indulge in the irony of shooting someone from a virtual version of my living room while actually playing a shooter game in my living room.
