Okay, so I've been looking around tons of forums to see if anyone had the answer to my problem and I couldn't find anything, which is why I made this account in hopes of receiving help. Now, onto the bug/glitch: After getting locked up behind the bars in the amulet room Tolfdir tells me to equip the amulet and use a spell on the wall. Easy, right? The problem is I don't even HAVE the amulet in my inventory and it's not laying around on the floor since I do remember picking it up. I've tried restarting the quest, the quest stages and even I've even tried manually implementing the amulet using console codes. Nothing worked. Any suggestions on what I could do next? I'm running a bit low on ideas...

Being behind bars means that you have picked up the amulet. Now how is the door? And did you try casting fire on it? Like if you were wearing the amulet...

You are looking in apparel and not miscellaneous, right?
