Sacrifice to Boethiah - Adelaisa or Marcurio?

Post » Sat Aug 25, 2012 8:31 am

Adelaisa is an old imperial woman, Marcurio is an imperial destruction mage. This character is a stormcloak ranger, so I don't want any mage or imperial follower.
Who would you recommend for the sacrifice?

The old woman. She probably was going to die next week, anyways.

Marcurio. He just sits in an inn, bragging. Nobody will miss him.

In general, Stormcloaks don't hate the race of the Imperials. The Imperials are the Nords' closest cousins, and
the difference between the two races are less physical and more cultural. Essentially, they'd rather have an
Imperial fighting at their side than an Elf.
Although there are certainly those who hates anyone who isn't a Nord.
Killing an elf would make much more sense - although Stormcloaks aren't too fond of reasoning in the first place.

I sacrifice 2-handed warriors. I dislike the way 2-handed weapons look in game and will never use a 2-H follower. Generally I just grab Uthgerd the Unrboken from the Bannered mare, since all you have to do get her to follow you is a brawl.

Belrand? Yeah, he's kindda' weird, but I like him. An old Nord with the ugliest hairstyle in the game, and
with a strange affinity for combining combat and magic. And why is it that you're always typing in green,
bold letters?

What? Wait, if you don't want a mage follower how are you going to get Marcurio there to be sacrificed? By default you have to take the old woman if those are your only choices.

I just took Marcurio. I really never miss him.

It's my thing. I do it on every forum I go to so it's kind of tradition (the green, I just bold it here so it's easier to see).

Marcurio is arguably the strongest follower in the game, coming close to Jenassa dual wielding.

Use Sven/Faendal from Riverwood, they're both useless and stop leveling at 20-30. Or the generic 'heavy armor two handed' merc for hire at Windhelm inn.

Though Boethiah is a mediocre daedra, I still need its artifact.

I would just hire him and take him there. I don't need any mage or imperial follower anyway. Since J'zargo is the best mage follower, I think I'll get Marcurio.

J'zargo is terrible, he mostly uses the sparks novice spell, rarely using apprentice spells. Marcurio has a much larger magicka pool and spams chain lightning with the augmented lightning perk, 60 damage AoE spells (the difficulty slider doesn't affect him) so he decimates everything he comes across.
