Where do I find the character save file? I have Skyrim on my pc & laptop and I wish to continue my character on my laptop instead of starting a new one. Can I copy my save file from my pc to the laptop and go from there?

This might work, not totally sure 'cause I haven't installed Skyrim yet but..

Click start icon, type %appdata%
back track one path to local data
locate bethesda folder and follow the path to the saves folder

Might be worth a shot.

I found the Skyrim folder under Steam, but I cant find my save file.

in My Documents\My Games\Skyrim
