[REQ] Save Game Sorter

Post » Fri May 18, 2012 6:23 pm

I don't know if this is possible yet without the CK coming out, but I bet a lot of us have already started several different characters. What I'd like is to be able to sort or separate these save games from each other. So instead of having to scroll down through your multiple saves to find the one that fits your character, perhaps there's a column for each character that you have and their latest saves are organized beneath them. Would this be possible to implement when loading a game from the main menu and also in-game? Let me know your thoughts or if there is already something like this out that I'm not aware of I'd appreciate it also!

You may want to try using this useful site I found, it allows you to search the internet for something you're interested in, in just a few seconds.

A non-mod alternative:

I use one "primary" save for each character I play, and one for a new game (saved right before the character creation screen opens). I have the save named after the character, as opposed to being just another numbered save. You only need to do this once:

Open your console (~) and type save charactername - for example, my current character is named Emerald, so I use "save Emerald". This creates a new save named Emerald, instead of Save 137 or whatever. While playing, I save as normal (continuing to create zounds of numbered saves) but before quitting the game I save over Emerald (just select it in the list when saving) to keep the Emerald save up to date.

Thus, I always have the most up-to-date save for each charater under their name (and "New Game", as I mentioned above) so I can easily pop into the save I want, and it's fuss free.
