Hey ^^/ Sorry to make my first post a negative one (hopefully more constructive ones to come )

But since updating (Xbox 360, 2nd May) None of my saves will load, they all get stuck on the roulette wheel.

If i remove the patch from the memory section (Title Update #4) they all play fine.
Is anyone else experiencing this or is this something iv done? ^^;

The same thing has happened to me, the only way you can continue to play those saves is to delete the update and Dead Money or just wait until they fix this mess which could be a while (if they even bother). svcks

Same thing has just happened to me too. I started a new character when the first version of the new patch came out, updated the game with the second version of the patch when it was released here in the UK (Sat?) and now just get the spinning-wheel-of-boredom when I try to load a game.

Think it's a coincidence we're all from Britannia? Anyway I deleted dead money and re-downloaded it and now all my saves work with the patch. I just have to play through the DLC again which is no big deal, just gotta make sure I get all the holotapes this time

i got the same thing and I've about 2/3 through my game which is irritating. How can I fix this?

I'm on the East Coast in the US and am getting the same issue, cept I have not deleted anything cause I have no clue how to do that. None of my game file worked, I tried 3 of them and they all spin on and on forever.

Pretty [censored] that after what, 5 months of owning this game I'm still only 2/3 of the way though and the end is no where in site cause it runs so flippen poorly.

Obviously not just a regional thing, this is affecting users everywhere. I agree it is brutally frustrating to have put time (and enjoyment) into the game, only to have it completely stalled. The only good thing I can think of is that it does seem to be affecting people everywhere, which means that hopefully the developers are able to recognize this, and fix it in the very near future.

Hi, I have the same problem with my saved games not loading post patch.

I have tried to remove the patch and reload the game, but now discovered that the game simply will not load at all.

It seems that a new patch will be required to overcome this problem, any ideas if we will see one this side of Christmas ?

Am gutted, spent so Many hours on gameplay, will probably have to start again

same here on the spinning wheel of doom. how do you delete the patch? do i have to do that magic button dance which erases all updates? very upset, just got Artimas 2 weapon!

okay, just tried what someone suggested. start new game, get to goodsprings and THEN load your game. works fine.

Just as a side note, I am no longer stuck on saved games. What changed? Good question... nothing that I did, anyway. I wasn't alerted to any updates, and I had finished playing with installing/uninstalling, etc. As I had left it, i had re-installed DLC and the most recent title update. The only change was that I left it over-night after feeling close to throwing my Xbox out the window... tried it again 24 hours later, and it works. While not helpful to those experiencing the same problem, hopefully it gives some hope to others who are in the same boat I was a few days ago.


EDIT: Now, a few hours later, doing the same infinite loading screen... go figure.

Same infinite loading screen issue. I can't use any of my saves from in and around the South Vegas Ruins and Zapp's Neon Signs. I was going to commend the latest patch for finally fixing most of my problems, but I guess things are still broken. This issue is becoming a pandemic from what I hear, so they should make this a priority.

I had that last night, though I turned the game off and on and it was fine after that. :shrug: I'm wondering if it's something to do with the patch before the previous.

Yes. This has just started happening to me. Originally, when this latest patch was first released, the roulette wheel would spin then stop and my Xbox 360 would freeze.

I got the fixed patch, and had the occasional door-transition game freeze, but today, when I try to load a game, I just get an infinitely spinning roulette wheel. The console doesn't freeze - which is good - but again... none of my saves will actually load. :sigh:

edit: I was able to load an early save of this particular character and then, from there, load up the save I wanted and that worked.

Word. Did the same last night. First two top saves wouldn't go thru (constant wheel) after clearing my cache from the dashboard. Chose the 3rd save down and it loaded with out a hitch. From theat save I loaded up the most recent one, "Bam said the lady," I played for 6 hours straight afterward without so much as a hiccup (though it did stutter from time to time for no apparent reason.)

I am currently experiencing the inability to load games as well. All I get is the spinning wheel of infinity. This was a new character, started AFTER the new patch (the fixed new patch).

FWIW, I'm not going to fuss with my game to try and get it to work. That's not my job. Obsidian/Bethesda makes enough money, let THEM fix it.

Second time playing through.

This time I get the spinning wheel of death loading freeside. Over 56 hours into this character.

I cleared my cache...Nothing

Uninstalled from HD...Nothing

Re-Installed...Nothing

Tried to load second, third, fourth save down...Nothing

Guess I'll go and try creating a new character then load it. If that doesn't work, I'll delete all the damn patches and play offline. Maybe that will work.

If it doesn't then I will make a new perk for you! It's called flying saucer. It's when I throw this [censored] game out into the woods and the dogs wonder if it's a UFO. It grants +100 to satisfying rage!

I recently had surgery and I am house ridden for the next week and a half. I have already watched everything on the DVR and now this damn game doesn't want to load. I love playing Fallout, but try a little testing before you release a patch.

This happen to me ever since two days ago. I try it today and it did infinite loading screen. It's annoying, I haven't got to beat the game yet and I wanted to but this just keeps happening. I really hope they know this is going on and try to work on a patch pronto.

It's happening to me now too. Got to Novac for the first time and saved. Now that save file is stuck on the loading screen forever when I try to reload it. At least my last auto-save (leaving the building at Ranger Station Charlie) loads fine. Dunno if I'm gonna buy Honest Hearts now if I (and others) are gonna have save file problems.

If you're having problems loading saved games since Title Update #4, since Bethesda won't help you, this is a quick fix. This worked for me. It may not be a permanent solution.

1. Start a new game
2. Play till you reach the outside of Doc Mitchell's house.
3. Save your game.
4. Attempt to load a previous character save.

Save should load with no problem. I'm very disappointed in the lack of interest of Bethesda in reassuring fans that this problem will be fixed immediately. Hopefully this will help people that are in the dark. :violin:

I've also "fixed" it by loading a previous save that loads fine, and then loading the save file with the loading problems, which I believe was mentioned earlier in this topic. It's a real pain having to load a previous game save just to load the one you want to play. That starting a new game option sounds good if you just have to do it one time only.
