Well I was clearing some saves and I forgot I was in the "save" part of the menu and I accidentally saved over my Dark Elf!!! But some how with the most little bit of luck, I had a save on my other hard drive!! Expect it was RIGHT before Dragonborn! Looks like I'm going to have fun putting in all those hours again...

PC or console? On pc, it is possible to recover lost files after deleting from your hard drive, I have used Recuva to recover a lost save from New Vegas once...granted I still lost about a dozen hours on that character, but I had already invested over 200 hours into it at the time, so 12 hours was nothing.
