So, i saved roggvir from death.

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 9:14 pm

How... all i did was kill every last one of them, i left the guards body and alvi's body to die. i quickly left the city and to dragonbridge, were i was arrested. i went back to the city, and roggvir was just wandering around? WTF. has this happened to anyone else?

Weird, I never actually thought about trying to save him. Does he have any dialogue?

That is interesting. I read on the UESP that even if you saved him he still died, like from a heart attack or something because his death was scripted and there was no way around it. Perhaps that's not the case. Good on you for saving him!

Wow, I never knew that He can survive if you exit solitude. I usually use slow time shout and one-shot the guard, captain and executioner then give roggvir essential status to survive the heart attack. I've been avoiding solitude cause my no-essential mod but I think I'll give it a shot.

Bethesda [censored] up. They should've given us the option to save Roggvir instead of watching him get slaughtered.

Yeah, many people have posted that even if you kill everyone he still bends down and his head just rolls off...unavoidable. Weird.

Yeah, they should have given us the chance to kill the traitor ourselves. :3

It's like Donnie Darko all over again. If you see any creepy dudes in nightmare-fuel bunny costumes, you'll know you're screwed.

I knew I liked you for a reason.

I have yet to reach the point where I heckle the game in MSTie style, but it's probably coming.

Okay, I take it back. I have yelled "I REGRET NOTHING" during some particularly gruesome killcams wherein I was the featured victim due to my own stupidity and carelessness. :P

He is a Talos worshipper. That is a good enough reason to see your head roll in Tamriel today.

You're right. They should give us the chance to kill that filthy emperor that took the rights away from the nords to openly worship Talos, and soon invited the thalmor to essentially commit genocide against the nords in Skyrim. Yeah and Roggvir is considered a traitor in your book.

Even if he does survive he's just going to travel back in time and a plane engine is going to fall on him while he is sleeping.

I had a dragon flying over Solitude the first time I entered the city on my last character. Very interesting because it interrupted the beheading, and everyone was so freaked out by the dragonborn saving them they forgot all about executing Roggvir. So he went about his business, and I suppose that when people finally remembered they didn't kill him, they all felt so embarrassed and awkward that they decided to pretend he was dead. So I had to pickpocket his Amulet of Talos to show his sister and all that.

So Roggvir is the true dragonborn - Helgen was just a distraction. You're a heretic! :P

Actually, I think Alduin's started to become vindictive lately, because he won't interrupt my beheadings anymore when I start a new game. He flies around and roars and what not, but isn't actually going down the path he's supposed to, and Tulilius never says the next part of the dialogue. He's actually flown overhead a couple times but nobody else notices him and I'm left staring up at my executioner, who doesn't seem to be in much of a hurry.

It sounds like the NPCs are getting tired of multiple playthroughs and are ready for an expansion. :P

Indeed, and thus ended my forays into the beast races, retiring my Argonian Vampire Assassin: From-Darkest-Depths and my Khajiit Master Thief: Dar'Virr/Ri'Virr (He was going to change his name after he became Guildmaster)
