I was fighting with 3 bandits somewhere at a random location. One of them was an archer and he shot an arrow through my head.

After the bandits were dead, ... the arrow should have disappeared. And it normally would have was it not because I saw a huge Troll and quickly did a save.

I engaged the Troll, who killed me in two blows.

So I was put back at the safepoint I did. It restored me back to just after I killed the 3 bandits with that arrow stuck in my head.

And thus, .... now I am still stuck with that arrow in my head.

.... Most irritating as I prefer a 3rd person view, but now because of that arrow, I am forced to play 1st person, as not to see the arrow.

.... I think I saved at the very point the arrow was disappearing, so I think it is a code failure. The game was in the process of removing the arrow, but I saved the game at that point while it was physically still not 100% gone. When the game loaded the save back, physically the game thinks the arrow belongs there still as at the very point of the safe, it had to be still visible. However the process that should be removing the arrow, does not exist anymore, as that was most likely only activated, just before I did the save!

Anyway ... how do I remove the freaking thing? Because I cant take a cool screenshot now.

Having the same problem with an arrow in my guys kidney and an ice shard up his ass. Even now it's still kind of funny but I hope they fix it soon.

Did you try...sleeping?

I did try sleeping, in addition to restarting the game and fast traveling. It's stuck in there good and tight.

Try removing the arrow itself through the console, open console > mouse click on the arrow to target it > type "disable" ( no quotes ).

Make sure you click on the arrow and not your head. lol

Just tried it, both the arrow and the ice shard(spell effect) don't seem to be considered removable objects. Thanks for the suggestion though. Any other ideas?

Try dropping all arrows in your inventory.

Change your character name to Arrowhead?

fixed this with console "showracemenu" switch your gender and do the same again you may have to select hair new

I do have a question that stems from me almost never using console commands: will this disable steam achievements permanently? (No big deal if it does, still worth it.)

Only for that session. So save and restate the game then you should get achievements.

It also gave me the change to actually change her hair. I initiatly had long hair, but for some body armor pieces her hair sticks oddly through the armor, ... so that is basically fixed now too.

Still, this items stuck in body issue, needs to be fixed,... most obviously.
