Saw the XboxOne Today

Post » Fri Nov 01, 2013 3:06 am

Went to Wal-Marts and saw the XboxOne demo, the unit wasn't to big so self space won't be a problem, the Kinetic 2 bar looked thicker then the old ones----but the main part where the graphics.

Although I didn't get to play it (no controller yet), I looked at some gameplay and well...it was smoother but nothing ground breaking or mind blowing. Then again it was a demo for a racing game but still.

Even though it's still young the XB1 games looks like it will run smoother and have some wow factor but nothing mind blowing.

What I want to know is how loud the thing is. I know MS touts this as an Entertainment Center that you can also play games on. All I know is the 360 is LOUD, too loud to have on when I am watching a movie or a show. It's really too loud to even play games with, which is one of the reasons the PC is my preferred gaming platform, the noise.

Tell me (not flaming, or trolling, or making fun of), does it really look like a VCR?

Can't tell yeah it was a demo model, it did seem quiet if that helps.

It's too smooth and shiny. It has that feel but its still is obvious what it is, if that makes sense.

I like how some game companies are purposely gimping next gen titles on the PC ports. NBA 2K14 looks outstanding for PS4/XboxOne, but the PC version is the 360 version ported over. :(

Different production runs of the 360 had different parts. So you could get one with a good disc drive and good fans and have it be really quiet, or you could get one that sounded like it was sanding wood inside of it. I imagine you might expect the same variance with the One.
