....to fast travelling. Change of topic from the usual smithing/dragon location/useful shout threads.

This is mostly aimed at those hunters out there :) Walk everywhere, always stuff to discover, animals to kill and strip of their flesh and other body parts!

Loving this game...40 hours in so far and still have hardly touched the main story!

So in summary...Walk you lazy nords! and Wood Elfs FTW!

I like Oblivion's system. To have the major cities to be found. It isn't that I don't want to walk, but sometimes fast traveling is necessary especially to major cities. Like let's say you're over encumbered, etc. I collect books to put in my wardrobe and sometimes get over encumbered. I collect the books based on the look and if their content is interesting. I also am a grave robber and get whatever I can. Also I like money. So sometimes fast traveling makes my job easier.

They had a spell for that in Morrowind....teleportation.....let you teleport out of deeper dungeons and back to the cities.

I fast travel more than I intended to, but when quests constantly send me all the way across the map, I just don't feel like running through back and forth and making a big adventure out of one quest when there's 100s in the game.

lol i know that! Im currently running from Riften to Markarth and so far ive been in about 3 dungeons and am in the middle of tracking 2 deer lol

I fast travel when im doing repetative quests like the delvin/vex quests. New quests i run. Anyone know the ACTUAL number of locations in the game? Think i have about 110 at the moment but theres a massive gap on my map i need to explore.

... i thought this was going to be an anti skooma/moonsugar thread when i first read the title...

and i try not to fast travel but i find the need to quite a bit. i max out my carrying limit and then fast travel back to my nearest house then travel back to the place i just left with an empty inventory and keep exploring... so technicaly i do walk almost everywhere... i just hate running back and forth because i like to loot everything...

I refuse to fast travel and reload saves if I make mistakes such as saying the wrong thing to someone. (I live with my consequences)

Your right people miss so much it was while i was making my way back to Riverswood a short cut accross a small mountain, crept up behind a mountain Cat, done Him, then a bear, but then saw me at the top looking down on a camp, it was a side quest, i stumbled on.(retrieve the family Sword) from these robbers, which a diary from the leader led me to a small gold find 130g, and as i continued my jouney I saw 2 Wooley Mammoths...cool, then a run from Riverswood on foot to the first Dragon resserection miles away Neuwerak..i think...Slayed my 1st Dragon......mage, mage robes, lvl 10 and i v been playing since release and Iam only lvl 10....bit of a pvssyr box talk to every one...lol

lol its so much more fun to explore than "port" everywhere. I spend most my time tracking and killing anything that i can find, be it beast or man lol

Although even with all my walking i have only seen about 3 dragons...Its going to take me a while to get this "kill 20 dragons" achievment :(
