Scariest moment in Skyrim.

Post » Wed Oct 31, 2012 10:43 pm

Since it's Holloween I figured I'd make a thread asking everyone what was truly the scariest moment they've had playing Skyrim.

Mine was actually yesterday I was playing as my vampire and I was going to do some quest it was night time out and I was sprinting on the road past Whiterun, out of no where a wolf just attacked me from behind and literally made me jump. Scared the crap out of me.

So what about you all?

My scariest moment? When I realized that someone stole my sweetroll.

Walking along the northern coastline in the middle of the night, it's pitch black (mods) and suddenly i walk right into three vampires. The visual effect from drain life created an intense image on the screen.

The first draugr dungeon. The sounds, the wake up triggers, the otherworldly fus-ro-dah voice, it was so impressive. I have a thing for the dead/burial/mortuary aspects in video games, and these ones are really well done.

The bears! I can't decide if they're actually scary or plain annoying. :P

I can't really think of anything, these games aren't really ment to be scary at all, the only thing I can think of is a few times in Fallout 3, but never in Elder Scrolls.

Yup. I didn't scream, but it did scare the hell out of me. And I'm not an arachnophobe, but seeing all those spiders coming out at once and some of them coming out of nowhere? Yeah. Whoever designed that? Good job  because it was done right!

Just yesterday I was walking along the road west of Whiterun at night, when a Sabre cat jumped out from behind a rock, growling and knocked me to the ground. It happened so fast, I didn't have time to react, plus it scared the daylights out of me. Being a fairly low level it didn't end well.
