I've looked for answers to this since last night, and can't find anyone with the same problem...

I launch Skyrim from steam (I've tried the .exe too) and when it loads my screen goes black, then a darker black and hangs.
I can't minimise or alt+ctrl+del so I gather my computer freezes as well.

All my drivers are up to date.

intel core i-7 2600
asus motherboard p8z68-m-pro
16gb RAM
nvidia geforce GTX 260
terrabytes of free space

Please help!!
