All Platforms Question: Does your screen go white when you quickly look up at the sky in bright sunlight?
PC Question: Is this related to Monitor Response Time? If so, how low does it need to be? (will Monitor Response Time of 12ms 4ms GTG reduce Skyrim performance?)



So I've been getting this since I started playing Skyrim on PC in 2011 and never questioned it until now. The problem is when I quickly look up at the sky in bright sunlight, my screen blurred white for couple seconds (you know the feeling you get before you faint, when your blood doesn't flow to your head and things turn black? It's like that but it's white). I've always thought this is normal, but now that I'm looking through new 27" Monitors (http://www.benq.us/product/monitor/gw2750hm) to sport my Skyrim plays. I've realized there's such thing as Monitor Response Time, is this the reason my screen turns white?

I originally was going to post this on PC Forums, but then I also want to know if this also happens for XBoX & PS3 users. You can move it to PC Forums I guess, if it doesn't belong here.

On X-Box and no I haven't noticed it. Just clouds and blue sky.

Are you using an my mods? If yes, could be one that adjusts eye sensitivity to light. Can't recall what the term is, but vanilla Skyrim as a slight eye adjustment to light to simulate pupil dilation and what not. Or it could be a mod that messed up your sky textures.
If no mods are used, reset your monitor. I tried a setting on mine, it was something to do with automatic contrast adjustment... Worked wonders till I was in the daylight. It pretty much lightened dark textures and dimmed really bright ones. So anytime I moved around outside things went from dim to super bright.

Dynamic contrast ratio, was it? Sometime like that.
