I'm not really sure what your point is. But mine, to sum up very quickly, is that the current gen consoles are about 5 years old. Hardware has come a long way in that time. Current gen PC's are incredibly powerful compared to them. So.. yeh. I'm saying if they were up to scratch by today's standards, then it could've looked a lot nicer, I'm not saying "imagine if they had made Skyrim in 10 years, how much better it could've looked". You need more info than "You [censored] up, don't do that." to make a criticism to be honest...

EDIT: It's not being "elitist" to say PC's are more powerful these days, it's being objective, rational and reasonable.. I'm afraid it's simply a fact. That argument is so over baked. You can prefer consoles all you want and that's fine with me - it doesn't mean your PS3 can compare to my PC in terms of power, and that statement is in no way a slant against you, or even your preferred gaming method. Play on whatever you want, but don't pretend it's something it isn't.

I am surprised that some of you are not seeing much difference in these screenshots. I am seeing quite a lot more in the way of better shadowing and textures. Those kinds of things tend to really become much more noticeable when in motion, that is why high quality video footage is the only true indicator of where a game stands graphically. I am not seeing any ugly textures here, while in numerous screenshots in the past I have seen quite a few. And although the shadowing looks simple, it still looks good too.

I disagree, anyone who has bought a moderate PC in the last 3 years can run it no problems going by the specs.

The textures don't look very good.

The shadows are much improved. Like, day and night. According to IGN, the draw distance is much better as well. It'd be interesting to see how far you can see details on the PC. I saw some console footage where ground details disappeared rather quickly with distance. Looking forward to see how much I can get out of it on my PC.

On one of the most recent screenshots the draw distance looks like it goes to the edge of the playing map! Looks epic.

I expected more from the PC. Todd said the 360 was low and the PC Ultra. Looks more like High-Ultra to me. But anyway I guess it might be different when you actually play.

i thought about buying an superb pc just for skyrim but now seen those pics i am very glad with my xbox360 version, deatils full, HD graphics full, Anti Alisijng, fog, weather, gras, plants, leaves everything full and smooth

The UI still looks way too big for the PC. I thought that Bethesda said they would tweak the UI for the PC?
I hope we don't have to wait too long for UI mods, like Darnified UI.

If this didn't have the compass it would make a great wallpaper. Just incredible.
