Recently I've gotten into scripting for the first time. I accidentally changed a Data\Source script and noticed the script fired my way, not the vanilla way, even without my mod being loaded. Anyway, long story short. I fixed it, made a whole bunch more scripts that also went to Data\Scripts as well as Data\Scripts\Source, my computer wouldn't play audio for internet sites, I restarted it, something got messed up on start up and had to "restore earlier something or another", now the half of my scripts i can read and edit are earlier, crappy, semi-unworking versions and the other half show up but cannot be read or edited. So, of course, I worry about their functionality.

I thought about just uninstalling everything and starting over (I wanted shed of the bulk of almost a hundred different save games anyway) but wondered if that would even work due to the whole steam cloud thing and couldn't really figure that out either anyhow so...

Oh! And something about the whole mess uninstalled Skyrim

Sounds like your PC did a system restore. AFAIK, there's no way of getting your stuff back as it was "in the future".
