SDTV Help?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 6:06 pm

I know people have posted a topic or two about this already but I couldn't find a definite answer, I don't have an HD TV and my screen cuts off parts of text and it's a bit hard to navigate. It's a minor thing but a very bothersome one. Is there a way to fix this or am I screwed? Would a larger SDTV fix this? Or do I need to buy an HD TV to fix the problem?

I'm right there with you. I was so looking forward to this game too. It took me long enough to get the money together for it and I can't even read the writing.

Hopefully there will be a patch fixing this, I have been able to enjoy the game so far but not being able to read the text takes away from my experience.

Don't expect this issue to be fixed, honestly.

They won't care that a small minority of us are poor, and dont have fancy HDTV's. Sooo.... GL HF with the blurry text. :(

I am having the same problem, and it is seriously affecting my ability to play the game. I can't see my compass or the updates in the top left of the screen at all, and there's no way to change the screen size in the options menu. Please fix this Bethesda! I'm begging you!
FYI, I've tried both installing and uninstalling and neither of those fix he problem. I am using a 20 inch SDTV flat screen.

Surely they'll do something to make the text fit. It's the only thing ruining this game and making it unplayable. The SD players paid for the game like everyone else so should get this. I understand that everyone paid for the game and could be entitled to stupid things but I don't think this is that stupid.

Considering that playing the game without a compass is impossible, I don't think it is too much to ask for them to move it down a few centimeters.

I am hoping for a patch as well.as ive previously mentioned for those who may have not tried this option...go to dashboard/system settings/display/screen format-widescreen= yes it will not be perfect but it will (at least for me) bring the compass down a notch and improve the text...PLease bethesda patch this !
this is an incredible game and Id hate to have it ruined for myself and so many others because surely skyrim deserves to be experienced as it was meant to be.

Instead of posting around in multiple threads it might be better to get everything organised in a single thread so this issue is more noticable.
