Secret Mission!

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 4:38 pm

I dunno how many threads there are about this!!!! Go to Redwater Den, (not as a vampire or for the vampire mission) then buy some of the Red Water Skooma. Go to a booth and drink it! Enjoy the quest!

I did, buy as much redwater skooma as you can, once you do the mission it becomes difficult to get more.

This.

Its just most Vampires are eager to try out their Vampire Lord form..so they slaughter everyone so they don't bother to drink the skooma.

I didn't know that :'( I thought I was special when I got captured on my non-vampire character, cause I did what you said on my vamp char.

I wandered across this place on my first playthrough as a dawnguard. I was disappointed when I found out it was a part of the vampire quest, since I thought maybe there was more random quests like this from dawnguard.

Same here. Either way, it was fun and at least I experienced part of the main questline that can only be played on the Volkihar questline.

Speaking of that area..you get one of the best reasons to side with the Volkihar on that side.

Super buffs the right hand drain life in VL form and causes you to as well drain stamina and magicka while refilling yours when used. =P

Blood of the ancients is what its called if I recall.

Just a note on this "mission." I just went and did it after finishing the MQ on the Dawnguard side. When I got to the area where you have to loop around to open a gate, a conversation started about why open a skooma den there but then never finished. I assume this is because the other conversant was dead, killed by me at Castle Volkihar. So if you are going to do this as a member of the DG, be sure to do it before the attack on Castle Volkihar so you can hear the entire conversation.

I'm actually gutted that I didn't know of this!
I just massacred everyone in the entire place... I thought the whole point of that mission was to wipe the vampires from there and get the chalice, and assumed they were all secretly vampires!
Now I'm guilty of mass murder...

What happens when you drink some after you do the mission and are not in the den? I've wondered that, but I only have one and wanted to keep it so I haven't tried it.

I stumbled into this yesterday with my Orc who hasn't even started Dawnguard yet. My other character (Altmer mage) who I've been playing with since I DL'd DG, did the Dawnguard MQ.

It was a nice surprise and exciting when the skooma took effect.
