Secret Places

I was wondering around the south of Riften, basically it was late and I didn't wanna start any quest's. I got myself the "you can't go anyfurther". so turned East, Saw some Blood on the snow and followed the trail. It lead me tohttp://i1254.photobucket.com/albums/hh611/Trace9569/HPIM1198.jpg this, right before I got their I had to fight a frost troll. Climbed down from their and continued east and found one of the Stendar Towers.

No loot or anything like that, but I did think it was rather neat. Just a random area, with a really good view. If their was anything nearby I totally missed it.

No offense, but that's not a secret thing. It's an actual quest that's in the guidebook.

Yeah, except for yours all of these are in the guide book EXCEPT for the flag with gold bars in the far E-NE. I think they missed that one.

"The Chill." It's a mysterious little cave somewhere north of Winterhold. It doesn't show up on the map after you "discover" it either.

Inside there are three rusty cages (with nothing much of interest inside), and a weird, frozen Frost Atronach. It just stands there with its back to you just inside the door, and lets you kill it.

The problem is, once you spend all of 30 seconds nosing around inside and find nothing, you leave. And then, there are suddenly THREE Frost Atronachs just outside the entrance. These ARE aggressive, and they're apparently pretty salty that you put down their paralyzed pal.

Weird. Eerie.

isnt that the jail for teh winterhold area .-. (check your bounty you might of killed the "guards")

In the guidebook's atlas for each hold, little green dots also mark random world encounters.

Nothing special, but if you follow the north coast as far west as you can go, you come upon a clam-bed in the shore, with a little camp near it. As I say, nothing special, just a cute little detail.

I wasn't aware of this, thanks.

Somewhere near Markarth/Rorikstead area, up in the hills, there is a nice secluded pool. In it is a naked dead woman. Nearby her clothes are neatly folded and a note says she is defying her family's concerns of Forsworn (or is it Falmer?) attacks by sneaking up here to skinny dip in the cool refreshing water. Loot her possessions for a nice necklace. Which, if I recall correctly, respawns.

There is a chest near Inalta's Deep. It is not the chest from the treasure map; that one is under water. It is NW of Inalta (close by) next to a "cliff". I found it when I noticed snow blowing off the cliff. I went there to investigate the blowing snow, thinking there might be a cave.

@Egoaltar and Jerichok - that rune covered altar is where you find Rundi and his dagger. He is one of the missing apprentices that Phineas tells you about at the college. He and his brother were working on a way to use frost magic to make better mead. His brother's body and dagger can be found in Journeyman's Nook which is SE of Winterhold, via the road, across from whistling Mine.
