self-made maps in crysis online multiplayer?

Post » Fri Jun 18, 2010 7:47 am

hello crysis fans!

will it be possible to design maps on the pc with sandbox editor and then upload it to the xbox (and ps3, but also just pc online), so that we can play it online with friends and other people playing online?
it would be a awesome feature, i saw some crysis 2 sandbox editing on some trailers, and i have been editing maps since crysis 1 and it was awesome, but the thing was that you coulnd't do so much with the maps you designed. Thats why i hope you can play it online on the pc, xbox and ps3. It will also get more people designing maps in the sandbox editor because when you can play them online, the designed maps will become useful.
(sorry for my bad english)
i hope to get some good answers, cya! :)

Crysis 2 will have Sandbox. And that means that you can be about 80% sure about custom MP maps.
Crysis is like Chuck Norris in gaming, everything that you ever wanted in a game is there ^^

Hi guys,

We currently have no word on support for custom content in Crysis 2. When/if we do, it'll be announced on both here and our modding site, Crymod.com.

Cheers. :)

Holy cow, Thank you Cry-Ruan. I have been wondering about that for a while, I wasn't sure if anyone had even acknowledged the most important question forefront in my mind. This is #1 on my Christmas list this year. Playing a game is great, but giving people a chance to become part of it is special. Man, I can't wait to play.
