[RELz] Sensual Walks for Female NPCs

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 11:50 am

Surazal, you always put a big smile on my face - you really work so fast! It was only hours since Vilja was released, and here you are already, with an updated version of Sensual Walks. Kudos and icecream to you :icecream:

He must be psychic too. I decided yesterday to post asking for Womans Move to be added to the list of animations...and he's just done it! Excellent :D

lol

And the next Sensual Walks update will include Womans Move 75% slower - just in case that was on your mind :)

It's good to have the option, but my PC uses Womans Move and it would be good to have companions be walking at the same speed.

It's good to have the option, but my PC uses Womans Move and it would be good to have companions be walking at the same speed.

If your companion mods are supported by Sensual Walks or are Sensual Walks Ready, then you can use the Animations Installer to set the female type to use the same walk as your player.

If the companion mod is not covered by Sensual Walks, then you can download the Using Sensual Walks in Your Mods Guide and change your companion mod. If you do this, then set the female type to Vilja to make it easier to control the walk that your companion will use (via the Animations Installer) - this approach requires TES4Edit.

Thanks Surazal, I'll look into that. Still just looking out for suitable companions, apart from the marvellous Vilja of course. Only just noticed that Womans Move has been updated with a 75% version out so it wouldn't look like my PC was speedwalking compared to everyone else using your slower version. Great stuff!

This is a great mod, but it's causing some very funny problems with my installation. I have read and carried out instructions meticulously in the FAQ and installation instructions, but wyre bash is going crazy all of a sudden. I have never encountered anything like this before with any other mod so I thought I would register here to try to get to the bottom of it. If I remove the SW omod and rebuild my patch it goes back to normal.

Ok, so I installed both the OMOD's and when it got to the part were it says that it will order the esp files, I let that run (it only takes a couple of seconds opposed to the 4 minutes it states but all the files seem to be in their correct places in Wyre bash. i have a fairly high end system so I didn't think anything of it.
I guess a question that arises is, if this utility does this for you why the instruction to run Boss? (which I did anyway, also have tried a clean install without running it.)

Anyway, so I did the steps below.

1. Install Sensual Walks Animations Installer using OBMM
2. Install Sensual Walks for Female NPCs using OBMM
3. Run BOSS
4. Build your bashed patch using Wrye Bash (WB)

When I fire up the game, some of my previously bashed mods are no longer active, in particular the COBL race balancing and (DARKUI Trollf atmospheric loadscreens). When I get in a receive a message that it is reverting my character back to default race stats!
Looking into this....

1. Wrye still reports that it is merged.
2. Even though I tried to merge all SW esp's (listed as mergable) they still show as blank.
3. Don't see any Blue SW esm anywhere, let alone after doing a "mark merge"
4. However the SW part seems to work perfectly.
5. Throughly checked the merged patch settings and everything should be enabled.

The only way for me to restore, is to remove SW, rebuild my bashed patch, then reinstall SW over the top and run boss, without bashing it. (leaving SW files ticked.) If at any point after this I rebuild patch the COBL starts again.

Help!?, any idea's? This definitely only occurs if I install SW.

thanks.

*sorry for some reason i cant edit.*

Ok, I made some progress with this (I think) but it still boggle's me, and deeply worries me because now I don't know for sure if I actually have stuff merged into the bashed patch or not and it means that all of a sudden for some reason I cannot bash certain mod's together anymore. (svcking up precious slots) only after installing SW and running Boss, when I remove it, it goes back to normal.

I noticed that even though the files for SW were green they are tagged with "nomerge" by boss. But the Cobl race balancing esp, is not flagged with Nomerge. So I deactivated it and merged as normal clicking relevant options. Yet it doesn't work.

So to resolve this I went into OBMM and manually turned it on after the bash rebuild. Then it worked. But my save game still complains there is content missing......

I am now worried that other esp's are effected and I have no idea how to go about finding out. The only reason I knew about the Cobl balance patch and the Screens is because of the changes and messages at the start of loading the save.

Pretty sure I am doing everything right. Can any one shed some enlightenment here?

Thanks for the nice words and very sorry to hear you are having problems.

Are you still using the SW Automatic Load Ordering? If so, remove SW, then reinstall and select the BOSS option. I did notice that sometimes the automatic ordering caused an issue with TES4Edit and I am wondering whether this is causing your problem.

If you try this and it doesn't help, please create the bashed patch that was giving you problems and then post your load order using the WB List Mods function - perhaps I will be able to spot something.

After Installing SW and running BOSS, select all the mods in WB (Ctrl-A) and then right-click and select Mark Mergeable. Ignore the message that is displayed and click OK. The Sensual Walks mods should now be purple.

If the RB mod is not grenn or not purple, than ypou should leave it active, but include it in your bashed patch where it is listed.

What version of WB are you running?

Thanks for your quick reply and support!

uhh I will need to get back to you, testing things a little more. I did notice my plugin list was getting dangerously close to the cap so I am going to shed some of my mods and try again. If I still have issues. So far your suggestions haven't helped unfortunately. Ill post a load order for you soon. thanks again.

A pleasure

What version of WB are you using?

I have 335 mods installed - 224 active as a result of using the Bashed Patch - are you getting close to the limit even when including mods in the bashed Patch?

Btw, with WB v287 (current stable one), you will be prompted to de-select all the mods that can be de-selected when you build the patch - these will be mods that are Mergeable (green) or have the NoMerge tag (purple).

Hope you have some success.

Yep, looks like it was an issue with too many slots used up, strangely enough once I cut down my mod numbers a little the issue was resolved. wierd, I was near the cap but not over it.

Delighted to hear you have resolved the problem.

TES4Gecko (and TES4Edit) are great tools to help you merge mods - although you do need to be careful.

Ahh to answer your questions, yeah it's a bit strange I only have about the same as you with a bashed patch.

To resolve I cut out some unneeded mod's and upgraded to the latest version you posted earlier.
Very peculiar.

I am only using Wyre bash 275.

I am only using Wyre bash 275. Found it difficult to find the latest verison for some reason. (could't find the interim version to upgrade from) think this could be an issue?

Ahhh - all is explained.

You need WB v287 to make the animations patch feature work - it is a very stable release. You will find it under Old Versions on the WB Files Tab on Nexus. Strongly recommend you install that version and wait for v291 before upgrading any further. You should be able to download v287 and install it over your 275 version without any problems.

Let me know if this chnages things for you - I am sure it will - v287 was an excellent release with great features, especially if you use Sensual Walks :)

Just had another thought - use BOSS 1.51 (ie not the 1.6) - the later versions of BOSS only work with WB v288 and above - v287 expects the masterlist.txt file to be in data and the later versions of BOSS place it in data\boss

Hi, Surazal.
Merry Christmas and happy New Year!
Thanks for 6.13.1
Any reason to remove the support for Vilja 3.0?
I use your last release of the Vilja support from 6.11 but am not sure it works well.
Do you plan to put it back?

Hi

Thanks for the wishes and a Merry Christmas and happy New Year to you as well.

From Sensual Walks v6.12, Companion Vilja has been removed because Vilja 3.0.1 onwards is now Sensual Walks Ready, so no need to install the Sensual Walks Vilja ESP anymore. Always worth keeping Vilja up to date :)
