The support was in relation to the framerate problems on ps3

Hello,

This is an issue that the developers are aware of. They do plan to try and fix these issues with an update for the game, but unfortunately we do not have any timescale as to when an update which addresses these issues will be released.

Regards,

Jamie D.
Bethesda technical support.

Please note the "try" in his statement. So they are "planning" to "try" and fix them.... sounds promising *sarcasm*.

They don't have to fix the problems for us, they could just leave the game broken and there'd be nothing we could do about it. At least they are trying to fix it.

I am not as cynical or pessimistic as many on here. I have faith they will fix it for those that are having the problem.

Wouldn't be the first time either where they never fixed an issue with one of their games. Par the course for Beth on the PS3. As for the patch, well Pete says (via Twitter) it'll go live the week after Thanksgiving.

Just naming the ones, I have played. Yep this is why Morrowind, Oblivion, and Fallout 3 never got improved upon they only care about if the game works for them self’s. They just use the public as a source for making the money to make another one.

There is nothing wrong with holding out hope that this might be fixed but as a precaution take a good look at your purchase date, mark it on a calender, and don't let them string you along just long enough for your warranty to expire. All these "maybes, tries, potentially, and looking into's" are a nice way to string along consumers.

Doesn't really sound like the 1.2 patch is going to fix it, well thats....annoying to put it lightly

That's true and exactly what Beth did with FO. However, there are things we can do about it and I suspect plenty will. TBH, it's more damaging to Beth if they don't fix this, their reputation (although already tarnished for PS3 products) will be further hurt in the long run.

I think the OPs reply is a standard response from email techs but it also depicts a company which doesn't quite know what hand is doing what. We have Beth PRs telling us the upcoming fix includes "PS3 long term play improvements" while email support says it's not.

The future of the PS3 version does not look good.

Well actually yeah... they kind of do - considering they sold us all a broken piece of [censored].
We paid for a product we didn't recieve - we've all got a Skyrim slideshow viewer.
Would you buy a tv, part with your cash and find the screen is smashed - you wouldn't expect a fix or refund?

There won't be any serious fix, they did the same twice in the past with Fallouts and Oblivion on the PS3 and the delivered the broken Skyrim, too now.PRs tell what they are told to but if he was about to tell the truth a lot of fans of Skyrim including me we would get instantly disappointed. However with promises of a prominent fix he just lets a glimpse of hope that in the end it will prove another lie.He just buys some time to get more and more people to buy Skyrim.Look over the net they say that there is a problem but they also say that it would be fixed with the patch. It's a shame a great game, have so tremendou problems,if it wasn't for Skyrim most players would have already abandoned it,but they still try to find "cures" by themselves or still hope that the patch will work, because they really love this game despite its serious problems. All these people deserved more than a two sentence answer and more and more lies...

No he isn't being sarcastic. My copy of Oblivion still has the vampire Glitch and New vegas/Fallout 3 are still broken with the latest DLC. There is nothing we can do, if they decide to not fix our problems. Aside from not buying the next game, but let's be honest. This is the 3rd time i bought after their other failures...i guess i was deceived by the new engine.

What he is trying to say, you're putting too much thought in an automated response.

An attitude like that is simply ridiculous. By your logic General Motors could sell me a car that stops working after you drive it for 1000 miles and then I should consider them taking action to resolve the issue doing me a huge favor? Silly. If anything these people are legally obligated to fix this problem ASAP before I deposit my bill of consumer rights up their proverbial asses and withdraw a full refund. Contrary to what you have said there actually is something that you as a consumer can do about it.

I for one will be smoking Bethesda out if these issues aren't resolved by this time next week.

If you had sent in, "My axe swings on its own accord when I enter a tavern" you would have gotten the exact same response. There is literally nothing worth anolyzing in this letter.
