Hello, I recently purchased Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for the PS3, and after I got about 40 hours into the game, it began to suffer from severe drops in framerate to the point where it is unplayable. I researched this online, and found that it is a widespread problem that occurs after you've gotten so far into the game.
This problem was evidently also in Bethesda's Fallout games, specifically in the DLC, so it is nothing new. I was wondering if Sony was aware that games were being sold for the console that were not able to be played to completion. This is a blatant rip-off of Sony's consumer base.
I own an Xbox 360, and a PS3. From now on I will probably be more likely to purchase multi-console games on the Xbox 360. The Elder Scrolls game does not have this issue on the 360.
Also, Bethesda has come out and said they are working on a patch to fix a texturing issue on the Xbox 360, and some performance issues on PC's, with no mention of the problems the PS3 version is suffering from.
I was just wondering if Sony was aware of this issue affecting your consumer base, and if there was anything you planned on doing about it. I wasted 60 dollars on a game which I cannot play through to completion. I cannot get a full refund on the game from Gamestop because I have opened it and played the game. The best I could do is trade it in for a partial refund. This is a blatant rip-off. There is no way Bethesda could have missed such a widespread game-ending glitch in their testing process.

They should keep quiet about it until it passes Sony QA. Many other developers have announced that Patches/DLC/Updates are currently with QA only for them to be rejected. Those devs have then been crucified by the interweb for the further delays. It's worth noting that Sony QA for 3rd party studios can take up to 3 weeks, Sony IP studios however, can patch their games when they feel like it.
