[REQ] Separate Save games

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 1:13 pm

Hello!

First im sorry if this have been asked or talked about in other posts, did a search and didnt find anything.

Is there any way to make so that my char(A) have one set of savegames(Folder) and Char (B) has another? I think its quite annoying to have to go though 1000+ save file to get the one i need :) I save alot yeah, as my PC dies all the time, so it would be really nice if there is some way of doing this :)

Thanks :)

Not sure if you know this already, but it might be helpful:

You can give your saves custom names by using the console to save, by typing "save ". This has made it much easier for me to find different characters' saves, rather than clicking through Save 082, Save 083 etc etc....

I was working on something like that, an app that would run in the background and monitor the "Saves" folder and rename/move/backup files. I can read the save game file, get character name, save number and current location. All I have to do is decide how to do it. Just rename the files? Keep saves in different folders and let u select which character to use and move the saves? I still dont know...

This is what it looks like now:

thats cool, it would be awesome if it could be placed in game though. like when you go to load a game you go through the lists of characters. then when you select you character you have the main save file and 3 auto saves for that character. and when playing if you manual save you can either save over the main save for that character or create a new one within that character folder without having to sift through all the other characters. But like i said it would be ideal to have this fully integrated into the game like it was a vanilla feature for it.
