Serana is a corrupter of men.

I mean I was determined to playthrough as the Dawnguard first then as soon I talked to her before I knew what happened I found myself already a Vampire.

Maybe next time.

Did she do the same to you fellows?

I planned to be a vampire the whole time. I now seem to be regretting that choice.

I don't know, you get a ton of Vampiric power boosting artifacts + blood potions from the radiant quests in Castle Volkihar...the equivalent of those are gettin supposedly ingredients to make better crossbows in the dawnguard.

To be fair, I'm yet to receive any. I just feel the Vampire Form is so week! I can barely kill anything in that form.

you may be experiencing a bug. when you have serena as a follower, for some reason the vampire drain spell in your right hand becomes seriously underpowered. the betas all reported this bug to bethesda but they didnt fix it in time for release. when you dismiss her or simply don't have her as a follower your mighty power returns and you can once again wreck havoc while in vampire lord form:)

Thanks! I'll try it now. I was planning on sacrificing her anyway. I hope I can.

anytime:) also remember that if your killing blow to an npc is a powerattack while in melee your VL will bite him and this attack also count towards prekprogression

I naffed about with the VL for a while, & didn't care for it. It plays well, but I just didn't enjoy it. However the dwarven crossbow is making me want to die, it's amazing. And Seren follows me about anyhow, so I'm rather glad I stuck with the DG.

What wrong with never having to fear death by old age again?

Nothing, I suppose, if you don't mind never going to Sovngaard. And hanging out with dead people.

No. Hell no. There are many more alternatives in an afterlife than just sitting around with a bunch of fat bearded sweaty nords.

Imagine an afterlife in one of Sanguine's realms? Its like Sovngarde, but with lots and lots and lots of six and alcohol...and lots more six.

Eh it beats the void. An eternity in an empty, blank space, alone and forever silent.... Existing until time ends... *shivers.*

So wait, does Dawnguard just add to the Great Dead Dovahkiin Soul Ownership War? Now you can have your soul:

-Belong in Sovngarde as a Nord
-Belong to Nocturnal
-Belong to Hircine
-Belong to Sithis
-Belong to Molag Bal

Okay, actually, this fight could be a DLC in its own right, started by dying.

Eh, I think the Night Mother is really Mephala just toying with people (Remember the split from the Morag Tong?), so instead of Sithis, I'd put Mephala in that list.

No, depending on either side you have to kill harkon and save her..its just if you side with the Vampires he turns you into a Vampire early...I cured his disgusting gift after the vampire MQ so Serana could give me hers..I felt like it needed to be done. D=
