Serana's cured?

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 6:34 pm

I cured Serana, and I noticed that the only thing that changes is her eyes from her previous vampire form. For some reason her eyes look like meshes or textures are missing for them. Her iris's are either blue or green, and theres yellow where theres supposed to be white. Anyone else have this problem after curing her?

I think everyone has this problem. Very annoying. Nothing you can do but hope Bethesda releases a patch.

I guess she can only be cured if you side with the Dawnguard. I had one passing conversation with her but no option to discuss the topic since. Also not conversation about marriage. I am already married and not wearing Mara's necklace so that may be the reason for that.

I would never cure Serena, being a vampire is what makes her cool and unique compared to other followers.

Has anyone noticed that her eyes glow yellow in the dark even after you cure her? I did it on one of my files and that ruined that choice for me

Yeah, this. Best follower in the game and a vampire. And part of a big questline. And essential. Win win win win.

I think if anyone falls in love with her character, they will know to leave her be and enjoy her for what she is.
If you love her and turn her, she will become mortal and age, and one day she shall die alone, long after the dragonborn dissappered on a trip to elsweyr.
If not, she will continue to live on through all the coming eras and give joy and frustration to millions of others until Mundas is finally unmade!

Your spitting on Serana's bloodline. You all realize what she had to go through to become a vampire, and now she lost immortality and her awesome powers to become the very thing she ate?

How disgusting.

Perhaps deep down she didn't want it anymore. It's also her choice is it not? I haven't played Dawnguard, but I doubt its like we put a gun to her head.

So...she either has Malaria as a human and dies or she lives forever as an epic looking Vampire...and people want her to become human!?

Evil people.

I disagree. I like her very much, but we had to part ways as I kept getting vampireitis from her backsplash during involved melee battles. The choice to get cured is hers. No one makes her get cured. Its a simple question, and the dialogue goes on from there.

Agreed.

On the technical side of things, she's also unique in that she's the only follower (to my knowledge) who doesn't lose carrying capacity every time she's dismissed and reacquired as a follower.

I wonder if that is the moral grey everybody wants... I don't know, seems like an easy choice to me.

Grey? What morally grey?

She's a vampire. She eats people because she has to. There is no grey.

The fact that she has to is what makes it gray. If she didn't have to feed on humans but did so anyway, then that would be a different story.

You were actually supposed to leave the conversation until the very end.
Otherwise she will refuse to be cured.

You also have to be nice to her in your conversations.

Well since my character is a vampire we can spend all eternity together. Don't forget being a vampire is preserving her good looks. All I need now is to marry her and adopt babette.

If she ever gets hungry she could always just bite you. If you want to stay a human/mer/beast just get cured. She gets hungry again repeat.
It avoids the mess of people dying cause she's a little peckish.
