Um Serana? What are you doing?

Post » Mon Nov 19, 2012 3:33 pm

After having Serana as a follower for quite some time, I have noticed she has a tendency to get a little... distracted. I've had several instances where I would turn around to check to see if she is there and she is doing something completely random. For example, when I was asking people around Dragonbridge for sightings of the Moth Priest, I had just been informed of his whereabouts by one of the guards, and I turned round to see Serana cutting wood blocks. I mean it's nice to see her wanting to help out the local community but we had FAR more pressing matters at the time.
This is only humorous to an extent of course, definitely not a big concern or anything but if anyone else has noticed something similar happen then go ahead and post it here
Also, this is my first Topic on the Bethesda Forums! I hope I fit in well with everyone...

She wants to prove that not all vampires are evil?

Have a http://images.uesp.net/c/c4/Fishystick.jpg! Welcome to the forums!

Serana was using the grindstone while I was forging crossbows. That was kind of awesome.

Slightly off-topic, but I just hate how she always complains about the weather.

It was refreshing to have a follower that doesn't aspire to be my shadow. I do not need two.

When I talk to people, she tends to sit on the ground a lot... Usually in front of me...

That's...actually kind of awesome. Wish all followers did that....instead of creepily stare holes into your head.

Last time I was running around with her, I had to go into Solitude for something, and I went into the Skeever, and was trading with Gulum-Ei and I turn around and she's sitting there having lunch with Gisli. I was like 'aww, she made a friend!'

It seems everywhere i go she just wants to interact with things. She likes to sit in random chairs, use a forge, chop wood, etc. It's as if she is just mashing the A button on everything lol.

I like to look at it as a new zeal for (un)life, after being imprisoned for centuries or even millenia.

We are lucky she doesn't want to devour everyone she sees like the VtM ancestors. That would be... messy.

She is trying to show you that not all vampires are evil so you will accept her gift and become a Vampire so you can spend eternity together.

yeah, she does random stuff all the time. She kinda gets in the way sometimes, like when I'm trying to cut wood for bolt making and she starts chopping away the second I stop and I have to wait for her to move before I can continue.

Anytime I try to talk to Gunmar, & Sorine Serana starts forging things. I wonder if she's a very good smith.

I wonder if this was intended or it's a glitch that turned out to be a 'welcome' addition (like giants sending enemies flying).

Funny thing indeed! :D

I, too, enjoy her ambient activities. I did, however, find it a bit weird when she kept kneeling at High Hrothgar.

I hate it when she does that. To me vampires cannot eat normal food, only drink blood.

Or maybe she's tricking you into thinking that not all vampires are evil so that she can make you her thrall

Also, she started mining ore. Despite not having a pickaxe in her inventory.

This is one of the funniest online things I have read. Thank you for the laugh.

When Derik woke up in the morning she was sitting in a chair reading the book I had left on the table. I've had her use the Alchemy table, enchanting table, grind stone... and she really likes to sit.

Personally I find it cool.

I go in my house to store/get items and she just sits down and wait for me to be finish instead of blocking doorways.

I hate it when other followers are right up my [censor] especially when they are blocking the door, but serena doesn't do that.

Man, i wanna say millenia. Didn't she say Cyrodiil wasn't an empire when she got closed away? That would be 1st Era, wouldn't it?

I currently have her as a follower (With Derkeethus. {Glitch}) and she does like using random stuff if you stand around too much.. Like, she'll use alchemy/enchant tables, sit down, work, or even pull levers.. I like it cause it makes her more.. life like.. I mean seriously, a real follower in real life wont just constantly stand right behind you... Well... Maybe. Some people prolly will but not all.
