Is Seranna marriable

Post » Mon Nov 19, 2012 1:59 pm

After completing Dawnguard I was totally psyched to marry Seranna. The Whole reason I didn't marry anyone to begin with was because I figured someone new would be added in the DLC that would make all choices pail by comparison and I was right.

So I went to try and marry her, wore the amulet of Mara and nothing. Is this a bug or is she really not marry able.

She says she doesn't feel comfortable going to a temple.

So what was that spew at the end of the quest about her being important to you about then.

Also why can we have a priest of Molag Bar marry us then or Molag Bar himself. She is a daughter of Cold Harbor after all that would be pretty bad [censored].

She wants to spend eternity with you, yes.

That is why if you're a human she is so eager to turn you into a Vampire but because she is a unholy being the marriage temple is highly uncomfortable for her...you know being the creation of a Daedra might anger the Aedra if you go in their temple.

In her mind also..who needs to get married when you both will live together forever?

Also who knows because shes a daughter of coldharbour she might burst into flames when she enters Mara's temple?

I have a feeling someone may have tried that but I have my doubts it worked.

Nope, apparently one of the few characters with more personality than a cardboard cutout in the entire game cannot be married.

Boooo! Serana would have made an awesome marriage companion.

PS does she sound like Cristine Royce from New Vegas' Dead Money to anyone else?

When is she eager to turn you? Every time I asked her she was reluctant. Saying something close to - " Are you sure? This isn't like changing a pair of clothes, once you do this there's no going back. "

Just some random comments when you take her to places and when you talk to her to give her items akin like when she says

"This place is beautiful, I'm glad you are here with me."

Also knowing you are a Vampire Hunter she still offers to turn you into a Vampire knowing you are gonna' say no, in the quests and even after.

Just little subtle things you notice when you do the quests.

Shes a corrupter of men.

Many theories have surfaced about why she is infatuated with the dragonborn from the moment she is set free but my explanation is..

When the spike stabs your hand and the blood leaks into her tomb and you set her free it was the first taste of blood shes had in 4000+ years so to her the only way she can repay you for such "kindness" even though you didn't initially mean to set her free is to give you the highest gift and honor she can give, vampirism.

Ohhhh. Alright, I got the whole " she loves you " Thing (I myself went into a violent rage when I learned she couldn't be married.) But I thought people were actually having her mention the eternity thing after asking her for Vampirism. Thanks for summing that up for me!

No problem.

She won't marry you by the way because she feels uncomfortable in temples.

She is very protective of the dragonborn.

I mean she stands up to her dad the strongest vampire in Skyrim for you.

You, your blood, and your soul in other words..belong to her.

God I always hated having compagnons following me, and for the first time I find myself with the company of a vampire lady that I grew so attached to. I mean, A pure blooded vampire with a Nord dragonborn in Vampire hunter armor and now I bring her everywhere with me. She keeps talking to me about her pasts, how she feels lonely, how she appreciates my company, asks me questions about my past ( which surprised me of an Elder scroll game) and we end up unseparable. I end up growing the same kind of camaraderie I made with characters like Leliana or Zevran in Bioware's Dragon age series. She EVEN asks me if I got someone in my life and the MOMENT you can ask her to marry her, she politly declines......... Please Bioware, I don't know what it'll take for you to make her marriable, but If I have to do a quest that requires me to run through the entire province of Skyrim naked with bears at my back and dragons firing at me with NO possible reloading just so I can marry her, I'd do it XD

If you're waiting for a fix from Bioware, you're gonna be waiting for a VEEERRRY long time. Separate gaming companies don't tend to patch eachothers games very often, especially when one is run by EA, and the other hates EA.

I was thinking the same thing. I got so confused when he pleaded to Bioware.

If Bethesda doesn't add her to their list of marriageable NPCs, to me it won't matter because I spend most of my time with her anyhow. So we are basically married. :P But it would be nice to have the actual option.
