I live in Australia, and we NEVER get servers for MMO's, normally an American server is deemed the main oceanic server and we have to deal with bad lag with pings at 300ms at best, and this may be fine for games like WoW but when it comes to game that requires fast reaction times to get a result, its almost not worth playing due to the disappointment of just not being able to get a ping low enough to even play properly.
FPS games are just pointless with that type of lag and as TESO is going to require timed strategy in it's close combat as a main point of progression, I am very worried that it is going to be unplayable for the more remote countries with bastard telecommunication companies that refuse to have game servers for MMO's...
Is anyone else concerned by this, or is there any word on how wide spread ZeniMax/Bethesda are going to distribute their host servers, I think I might cry if TESO goes the way of Aion with lag that would drop you into the abyss a second after you clear a chasm...
