SetConsoleOuputFile help!

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 3:53 am

I would like to be able to use this command to capture my interactions with the console, however defining the file alone doesn't seem to be enough. Is there an additional console command (or .INI variable) I need to set to get this working?

How did you call it and what happened when you did?

input:
scof "c:\TEMP\console.txt"

output:
SetConsoleOutputFilename >> 'c:\TEMP\console.txt'

And I imagine the file didn't appear, right? What happens if you just try a filename, without a path as well? Does the file appear in your Skyrim directory?

Good idea, but sadly no. It does take the input scof "console.txt" or scof "console" but when I search for "console" at the Skyrim folder it finds nothing. Nothing in MyGames\Skyrim either.

I'm guessing it must be something you have to enable in debug, or via .INI setting.

Please disregard this thread. The entire purpose was so I could export the result of ShowGlobalVars to a text file, which I just realized you can view quite readily through the CK. Doh! XD
