I have a question. I had an attack in the Castle. I went there and helped to defend. I usually fastravell away after defending. But that time I was collecting loot for too long and noticed that settlers were really happy and kept repeating that they finally kicked raider`s asses ( something with the same meaning). I never saw them so happy. But my settlers on Spectacle island always moan that raiders had them hard. I can`t get is it a bug or what makes them so unhappy? Does even one broken crop makes them so sad( they have 36 for 20 settlers) ? I always defend all settlements and repair all broken things immediately, but in some locations they never stop moaning. This is even funny.

I know I would not be happy that the place where I live was being attacked. I would likely want to move to a new neighborhood.

Well, then I guess I should explain it my settlers in the Castle.

Those are just random canned responses that you always get. They range from "easy living this ain't", to "we are so grateful for your help".

When I get a negative response after I'ved saved them, I ring the bell, everyone comes and I have a public execution of the offender, my settlers must think they are in IS controlled territory

I should think about it. I love my settlers but I think they are getting too spoiled with this easy life when I do 99% of job.

Well , thanks.. it`s a pity then, I had a hope that they actually can stop being such whiners.
