Shadow bug

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 4:19 am

Well i made this video to show the shadow bug in this game. I recommend you watch it in 720P fullscreen on YT because it was made too dark after conversion. <_< Anyways this bug is always here, Shadows in this video are on low setting but the bug is here even on higher settings. Playing the game on medium. Auto settings were high but performance is FUBAR then. Athlon II X 2 @ 3.2Ghz, 4Gb ram, GTX460 768 Mb, 1680 X 1050 px

Thank you for posting this! The low textures and fps are bad enough, but this shadow bug is what makes me not want to play till its fixed.

This is the same thing I experience on my game, but it's nowhere near as bad. By watching the shadows for a few moments, it's as people described where shadows are pausing for a bit, then rushing to where they're supposed to be relative to the light source. It's one of those things I think needs a patch to fix.

Well i thought it was something with my system. Downloaded latest beta drivers from Nvidia but no luck. Next week Nvidia is releasing new drivers so perhaps we'll have more luck then. Or maybe this game just has lots of junk code in it.

Actually I think it may be intentional. If it didn't do this then you would see the shadows constantly moving due to the games fast timescale.
