Why were Shortswords removed? I liked having another blade to use... even more two handed combinations could be made in Skyrim...
Also would like Spears back, last time I saw them was Morrowind..

We're supposed to get Spears inn Dragonborn. And i'd also like shortswords back.

I want shortswords back too. I liked using them for rogue type classes. Now daggers are the closest thing but they feel more like an assassin's weapon.

Some of the swords are shortswords. I would say Imperial, Orcish, and Glass definatley are. While short swords would seem a bit redundant wouldn't mind seeing them have their own category.
