Should we actually be worrying?

So there's a bit of Prey2 panic going on at the moment (i'm going through it myself) as nobody seems to know exactly what's going on or if the game will be released at all. We are all clinging to any form of good news (some of it more than a little dubious) in an almost manic fashion.

But I ask you this: should we actually be worrying?

I know we all want it (sooner rather than later) but there have been plenty of games that have been delayed. For instance, Colonial marines and Bethesda's own Call of Cthulhu to name just a couple. Alan Wake was in development for slightly over five years and that was...ok i guess, and I wont even mention duke nukem. If I have to wait six or seven (eight is pushing it) for a truly great game, I'll gladly do it. I believe that, contract issues or no, Prey 2 will be made and published...if not now then later. Everyone has seen the buzz this game is making and developers would be stupid not to get it made. If it falls through the cracks then some other developer will pick it up and release it or humanhead will create a different game with basically the same mechanics but change the skin

those are my thoughts (wishful thinking it may be) but what do you guys think?
