Should adopted kids be allowed to die?

Post » Wed Aug 29, 2012 3:05 pm

My vote would be not to have kids in Skyrim. Too late for that I know, but that is how I feel and play. I basically ignore the kids and pretend like they are not there. I don't plan on adopting kids in Skyrim and don't really care one way or the other about them. Let them beg in the streets like Oliver Twist.

I was going to post a bunch of inb4locks, then decided that vikings singing about spam was a terrible punishment.

Because the game would be vilified in the media.

Sadly, this is the reason. Not that I have any urge to kill kids in Skyrim, it's just that essential NPC's annoy me in general.

Even in Heavy Rain, there was a part where a major character had to investigate a child who had drowned. But you never saw the body.

The 'no dead kids' rule is hard and fast.

Same here. I hate Essential NPC's more then I hate kids in games. Atleast the kids don't constantly stand up and go back to shooting you with infinite boolets/arrows when you're trying to wipe out a town. They just talk [censored] then run away crying for mumzy. Who may or may not be dead at my feet.

Dead kids are not an option.
Bethesda is not the only game company to observe this rule.

Thus advancing the plot.
Unless it were you optionally setting fire on the poor child, that example is completely legal and not distasteful.

Know how one of the vampires asks you to turn your wife into a vampire, will Beth add something asking you to turn your kids.

Nirn will have immortals. Unless no one has been decapitated by someone yelling, "There can only be one!" already. *checks* Nirn is full of sick people.

Hah great reference.

OP: This is all so... weird na mean? Adoption? Kids dying? Building houses? Who knows man, who knows, let's just listen to some blues.
