Should I buy Skyrim for my ps3?

Alright so I have been eyeing skyrim over the past month. I was planning on getting it for my ps3 but I saw all these bugs and the lag and im scared to get it or my ps3 because I know im gonna love skyrim probably more than I loved fallout 3. (I only played fallout 3 this past summer and it worked flawless on my ps3) I was planning on just getting whenever they fixed the lag issue but my friend can actually get me skyrim this weekend for only 30 dollars which I think is a very good deal. My question is , Is skyrim even worth 30 dollars in its current condition? How many peoples games are unplayable? I have a ps3 slim 120g... not sure if that will make a difference.

Flip a coin. As you can see here, many people have issues.

But many do not.

Right now no one is certain whether PS3 model types make a difference. As for whether to buy it, personally I wouldn't risk it if you have another platform to play it on. If you don't... might be worth taking a chance so long as you don't pay full price. The game IS amazing when it works, but unfortunately for many of us here it flat out doesn't work.

How do you intend to play it?

If you're going to breeze through the main quest and do an occasional side quest if they fall in your lap, by all means the PS3 version should be able to handle that.
If you're going to explore the world and do ALL THE THINGS, don't even think about it - the PS3 version will die on you halfway there.

Totally, bro! Best investment I have ever made. In fact, Bethesda actually gave me 100$ for purchasing it!

In all seriousness, RUN. FAR. AWAY.

You are asking an opinion from those who are experiencing problems. It makes no sense to ask that question on a support board. You would be asking other people if you were really interested.

I'd say it's worth 30 bucks.

Just keep your expectations relatively low and you'll be fine, because let's be honest... That's what hurt most of us. 60 bucks yeah whatever... But our precious Skyrim has soo many problems!

I hate the freezing, the corrupt data, the lag, the crashing, the broken quests, the gigantic bugs, the glitches that have glitches etc.... There is a bigger problem I have though. I still can't stop playing. I've been playing with all these problems for about 100 hours. So ya I'd say it is worth it. Believe me any other game would have been in the trash by now, not Skyrim, NEVER!
