Should I get the DLC?

I was wondering, since I haven't got any of the DLC's yet; should I get them? Or will they cause more problems with the game? One last thing: should I start a new game if I get all the DLC's?

Yes, you should get the DLCs.
No, they won't cause any problems.
Doesn't matter if you start a new character or not.

I got them from Steam during the Xmas sale on the day they were 50% off (instead of 33%).

Waiting until I start a new character before activating them.

If you're on PC there are unofficial patches available.
