Should I Switch To PC?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 3:26 am

Because I don't have or probably ever have XBOX Live, I am actually quite scared by the bugs that have been fixed in the one day patch. Should I switch to PC or is there some other way to get the patch? Just so you know I have quite a modern computer but I have no idea if it can handle Skyrim since I have no knowledge of technology at all.

I recommend to not get the pc version now.. the controls are very dissapointing and alot of more i heard (watch the pc threads). I'm still waiting for my unlock though.

That is reassuring. Thank you. Still on the fence though since I'm worried about major quest bugs

Don't get the PC version. It's even worse, and Bethesda straight up lied to us.
Go read a bit in the PC section. To be honest I'm really disappointed with this game. :(

I built my PC for this game, feeling like I had to get the "best" version of the latest game in my favorite series.

From what I've read, we've been screwed.

I am concerned as well. Should I go PC version with this or get the Xbox 360 version? I am more comfortable with the Xbox controller.

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730
Win 7
Intel? Core? i7 CPU
Q720 @1.60 GHz
8 GB of RAM
64 bit operating system

Little concerned about my 1.60 GHz and my graphics card...it is a laptop. Id Skyrim supports multi-threading on multiple cores should I be able to go higher, It is a quad core with 8 threads? Don't know if that makes any difference.

I think I will be at about medium settings. Not sure, It can handle The Witcher 2 with no noticeably problems on highest settings if that means anything. At this point should I just get it on my Xbox 360 though. I am quite torn.

Get 360 version, it is more stable (PC has amazingly bad compatibility issues) and you get all DLCs 30 days sooner.
If you dont have XBL u can still download patches and DLC from your PC and then transfer them to your 360 with flash memory (just google how to do it).
