I wanted to make my own poll on this subject, without getting into another lengthy debate. I simply feel that players who have been long time fans of certain races, but wont be able to group with their friends/guildies due to the racial faction restrictions, are being shafted.

Please, no comments about how this isn't a single player game, they aren't relevant. No comments about the lore being broken, ZOS is making the lore up as they go. If you feel my options aren't fair, feel free to comment and I may change them.

Keep in mind that I am not suggesting any race can join any faction, I am also not suggesting any race can group with any race in Cyrodiil. This cross-faction grouping is just so friends can play together while playing the characters they enjoy.

I say yes, out of cyrodil you can group together with friends, but in pvp still stab them in the back.

EQ2 did that. You could group with people of the opposing faction.

Yes, just for playing with friends and family.

My view is its not against the Elder Scrolls lore, its just a new chapter of the lore people need to adapt to. Its 1,000 years in the past of any of the other games we've played before, this is just how [censored] is in this era. Saying it shouldn't be this way because the other games weren't, is narrowminded. Is it ideal? Not exactly, but you can't say it doesn't make sense or have a point, and the entire game is based around the plot (Molag Bal is behind the war). Its just part of the story, and it'll be a good story.

Try to have fun with it instead of tearing it apart because its not what you want. I want FFA PvP but I understand that wouldn't be the best thing for the game, and you don't see me making a million threads and posts about how its not fair or not Elder Scrolls because I can't kill anyone I want and take anything from them I want.

I almost want to say that you should be able to for dungeons and stuff, but I don't think you should. I do think the theme of the game is to have 3 separate factions, and meeting other people from different factions, even if it's outside of PvP, would kind of ruin the theme of the game for me. You have three factions at WAR, three different groups of races.

People complain about all of the things that break their RP immersion, well nothing breaks my RP immersion like seeing people that I am at literal war with walking around freely in my territory.
