Shouldn't the Khajiit buy my stolen goods ?

Post » Tue Jan 01, 2013 2:46 am

Hello ! Well, i'm playing with a character that is kind of a thief. He is more like Robin Hood, he steals only from the rich people(but i keep the money for myself ), anyway that's not the point.
The point is, i was at Riften at night, and since Maven Black-Briar is a very rich woman, mostly because of her "underground business", i thought i would go to her house and steal some of their goods. When i was there, i found lots of interesting things to sell and one of those things in special caught my attention (see spoiler below to know what it is), so after that break-in i went to Ri'Saad to sell all those stolen goods. Anyway, the point is, the stolen items are not appearing at my inventory when i try to sell them, which means i can't sell to the Khajiit Caravans. I always thought that the Khajiit would buy the stolen goods, so now i don't know what to do with all this useless ( but worthy) items.

Now, going to my question, Shouldn't the Khajiit Caravans buy my stolen goods ?

Spoiler
The item is a Golden Statue of Dibella

Well isn't it racist of you to assume the caravans would buy stolen goods because they are Khajiit :P

The only way I know of to sell stolen goods is to join the Thieves Guild.

Haha

I thought that since they were not allowed to enter into the Holds, they wouldn't mind buying stolen goods. Also, if you go to Ri'Saad to buy something from him for example, you'll see he sells moon sugar, skooma that is illegal. That's why i thought they would buy stolen goods.

Some people who haven't never saw a Statue in Skyrim or something like that may think as a spoiler, well i don't know, i just thought it would be more appropriate.

Maybe they have an arrangement with the guild. You sell to the guild, the guild sell to the cats, the cats move the hot stuff.

This one thinks you are confusing smuggling with fencing!

Why would they? Because all Khajiit are thieves? You racist :stare:

Seriously though, Khajiit smuggle moon sugar and skooma because it's an essential element of their culture and they're not willing to give it up just because some foreigners said so. It doesn't mean they want to get involved in different kinds of criminal activity. Like he said, smuggling =/= fencing.

Very true, Moon Sugar, and Skooma is part of their culture.

Well if you're going to be a thief, the best thing to do is finish the Thieves Guild if you want to sell the Caravans.

hmm...the Khajiit known as Gun (yes, after the anime...lol!) doesn't think it matters...if the ones who currently possess these things can't find it in themselves to be responsible for their own belongings...well, it's not his fault they can't hold on to them. and you currently have something that is questionable...again, Gun doesn't question them...it's his opportunity and their loss. not everyone can have gold AND belongings. it's the old proverb, "it is a fool who allows a fool to keep their money" (i know...i made it up...lol!)

and as for the Moon Sugar and Skooma...he's just sharing his culture as the Nords insist on sharing theirs...

To be a tad helpful. You can sell to them if you do a quest for the thieves guild.
