Hi all,

I had my Skyrim and mods working pretty well (NMM, WryeBash, BOSS) but I accidentally used the Steam launcher and it downloaded some subscribed mods (14 of em) that I forgot about. I unsub'd/deactivated almost all of them. Got my game back, except whenever I shout I get a CTD. Is there a known cause of shouts causing CTD? Also, I realized that in my current game, I have yet to actually use a shout (level 41ish character, just started MQ), so I'm not even sure if any of the Workshop mods I accidentally got are the cause.

This happened before, right after Dawnguard came out, and I ended up wiping everything and re-installing the game/mods. That was a while ago and now the same problem comes up. I'm trying to avoid having to do that again. The wierd thing is that it doesnt happen every time I shout (all I have right now is Unrelenting Force). Right now, I'm in Mistwatch, doing that quest for the first time. When I'm outside in the Skyrim worldspace I can FUS all day. When I go inside, it usually causes a CTD, but not always. If Miswatch is just bugged somehow, I'm ok with that, but if this issue is symptomatic of further problems with shouting or being shouted at, I'm alarmed.

Last time I had this problem, it affected NPCs too - when Alduin lands on the watchtower in Helgen, I heard him starting to use his awesome raining meteors shout and CTD. Before I started trying new games, I was in Bleak Falls Barrow, and every time the Draugr near the Dragonwall shouted, it would crash. But as I said, this time it only happens in interiors so far.

Any help would be appreciated.

Edit - forgot to mention that I have fiddled with re-running BOSS, rebuilding my Bashed Patch, hasn't solved it.

Also, a bit off-topic, but is it better to use WryeBash with bashed patches, or TES5Edit and its merged patches, or both somehow? I used FO3Edit and FNVEdit for those games, but I haven't messed with TES5Edit at all yet.
