Sick of Playstation Network going down. I will now be gettin

Post » Sat May 12, 2012 12:31 am

I pre-ordered RAGE for PS3 but seriously they are starting to iritate me. I'm going to buy it for XBOX now too since Playstation can't keep the network up. I am buying the game mostly for the multiplayer and need to be able to access a network. Anyone else doing the same?

You're probaby making the right choice, what with the 360 allowing a larger installation and everything.

When exactly has psn gone down besides the big attack and the wierd year issue, I'm seriously asking I've had no issues beyond those?

Well scar_47 it goes down for me frequently. But it's not PSN's fault. It's how shoddy the internal wireless adapter is.

It's a flaw of the super old PS3's, but it's my cost for choosing backwards capability with PS2 games.
I can download like 11mb in 10 minutes on it, yet on my 360 I can download demos like skate 2 in less then an hour. That's what, 5~ gigs?
A lot of people have this problem, but it's not a PSN thing.

In the Xbox 360 is not required to install. The PS3 is mandatory.

You can install it if you want to have it, but if you want to play the disk, is multiplayer or not.

I've had three different launch 60GB PS3 with backwards compatability. My wireless connection never drops out, even when down to 25% signal strength. I can max out my downloads from the Playstation Store (and game updates) at approx 1MB / second (approx 8Mb connection). It can't be a flaw of all original PS3s. I guess I got lucky there...?

Maybe. Mine is actually a 2nd Gen, where they took one of the ps2 dongles out but it can still play most PS2 games. But I'd rather say I was unlucky. I know a lot of people who don't have my problem but a few people who do. But c'est la vie.

Huh didn't know it was down wednesday since it never logged me off, I don't have any real issues with psn but my download speed is horrid due to having 1 isp in the area with crap plans so it does take me a while to download patches or dlc but its always been fine for online gaming. You think that at this point reliable actual high speed internet would be common and cheap but only Japan and South Korea have good internet thats just sad.

I've both systems and will buy for the 360 as well. Keep in mind, my preference may not be yours. Buy what you like, vote with your dollars.
