Sick of Vampire attacks.

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 3:58 am

After you install Dawngurad you'll notice vampire will start to attack you. Thats all well an fine but whats not cool is when vampires will spawn in towns/citys around Skyrim and begin attacking and killing the NPCs that live there.

Please Beth patch the vampires for killing the NPCs I keep having to re-load after every attack and the attacks are frequent. Soon I'm gonna be the only one left alive in Skyrim.

I share the pain. I had a wtf moment when after installing the dlc I continue from the auto save and find everyone in the village dead, but upon loading the normal safe from 3mins before they all alright. Took me an attack on Riften to figure out what the hell is wrong. They killed Grelka. You bastrads!

Bethesda, please make sure the DLC alters nothing and adds no danger.

I agree, it's fairly irritating. I'd be ok with it if they didn't keep killing shopkeepers :/

It is very annoying, even more so than a dragon attack.

I was ok with the random attacks at first. I lost a few NPCs no one critical though. However, I just walked into Whiterun and saw an attack on the other side of town. By the time I made it to the battle I had lost Belethor, Carlotta Valentia, and Adrianne Avenicci. I reloaded from the last save and still lost Adrianne Avenicci when I returned to Whiterun. It woudn’t be so bad if there was someone to take the place of those who were killed. Right now at Warmaidens Ulfberth is working the shop but no one is working the forge.

Seriously, I play on master, am a level 40, and been playing the dlc since level 16, have no problem WHAT so ever with the vampires, they usually get their collective asses handed to them by the town guard anyhow. IF anything, they should re populate the cities, as of right now, it feels much more alive, and there is a sense of danger, not like some mystical creature is protecting everyone. wait, that would be my character.

Not long enough in beta maybe? ...or just not enough beta testers?

To be fair, Dragons were already doing this really- I don't know if it's a glitch, but I've had dragons attacking within the walls of Solitude several times now (I usually despatch of them and the vampires quickly however, due to my Level 71 Imperial god!)

I'm scared to play on my main character now out of fear of losing NPCs. Till they get this fixed I'll be on either another character or another game.
Maybe Beth could make it a toggle option to have vampire attacks.

She should have bought armor from herself, maybe she would have lived to tell about it.
