Would it be possible to mod the quest markers so that main or major quests have a significantly different quest marker than miscellaneous quests? I know some people dislike them but I do like them and rely on them quite a bit. I find myself often getting confused on which one I should be heading to. I know that I can set a different colored (light blue) one myself by going into the map but I'd perfer not having to go into the map everytime to set the marker. I'd like to see a certain color or shaped marker appear for a paticular questline.

For example: when I start the mages questline I would get a red marker and everytime I get the next quest in that same questliine I get a red marker for it. Any miscellaneous quests would have a yellow marker for instance.

Anyone know if this would be something that could be modded or would the ability to differentiate markers for seperate questline be something that's most likely hardcoded?

I don't know that it's possible, but it is an interesting idea.

Well, there are mods that color all the different categories of map markers different colors, and even have unvisited Towns a different color from visited towns etc,
so coloring them is possible, but it might take the CK to discern which are major and minor quests.

Most quests have a beginning two letter designator, so that might be a way, example: the main quest might have like "MQ_stage_200" (something like that), so possibly
a certain color could be assigned to quest markers that are linked to "MQ" etc...

I'm not a programmer, so it's just a thought..
